EQUIS es un sistema de auditoría estratégica y acreditación diseñado en Europa para el control y reconocimiento de la calidad académica de los programas de postgrado. Es de ámbito europeo pero su alcance pretende ser universal estableciendo unos estándares educativos para la gestión y dirección internacional de los negocios. La acreditación EQUIS fue lanzada en 1987 por la European Foundation for Management Development y, como la más grande asociación europea en este campo, ya cuenta con 400 miembros entre academias, empresas, escuelas, instituciones publicas y consultoras de 40 países. Con este sello de calidad hay que aclarar que no se pretende establecer ninguna relación comparativa sino sólo premiar a todas esas escuelas de negocio y universidades cuya educación de postgrado cumpla con unos requisitos determinados.
